Two Days Scenic Tours

Expanding the Finer Points of Canterbury

Loading...

Our Two Days Canterbury and South Island Tours depart from Christchurch around 8:00am on day one, returning late afternoon/early evening the following day. With up to two departures a week, these tours are, with one exception, an extension of our Full Day Scenic Tours. This allows our guests to spend more time exploring the places we visit in greater detail than is possible on a full day tour.

Pickup and drop off is provided from most of the major hotels and motels within the Christchurch CBD, or from outside the Canterbury Museum

Each tour includes snacks, nibbles, beverages, full lunch, airconditioned transport, experienced driver-guide, tailored photography tuition (if required), Hotel & Motel accommodation, all activities and fees (as applicable), and of course photogenic scenery galore!

With five different tour options that probe the far reaches of Canterbury in depth, and that cover a wide range of scenic locations, the variety of tours will appeal to the most discerning

Priced From: $931.70 per person; Duration: 2 days; Max of 6 guests.

Enjoy more of Aoraki Mt Cook than ever

Aoraki Mt Cook Plus

Lots of exploration in this one as we make our way from Christchurch to Aoraki Mt Cook via the towns of Geraldine and Fairlie before ascending Burkes Pass. We arrive in Lake Tekapo in time for morning tea, before heading on up to the Aoraki Mt Cook National Park village for exploration and a sleep-over, with more exploration the next day before heading back to Christchurch

Wildlife, Scenery, Whale Watching, and then some

Kaikoura Plus

Time for a deeper and more meaningful look at the wonders of this natural paradise, as we spend more time in the area and explore more deeply while taking our time over it to savor every morsel of this magical place. A Whale Watch tour is definitely on the cards for this tour!

Getting back to the wild

Arthurs Pass Plus

Almost a step back in time and a slow down as we savor the sights, sounds, and nature that is inherent in this amazing alpine area. We take our time and inhale deeply the mountain air while watching Kea parrots and exploring ancient forests and clear cold waters in the nearby rivers and waterfalls

Explore Banks Peninsula in Depth

Akaroa Harbour Plus

Exploring Banks Peninsula with this scenic tour is a marvel. Yes, we call it Akaroa Harbour Plus, but like our Akaroa Day Tour, it’s not just about Akaroa. It really is a full tour of Banks Peninsula including bays like Port Levy before arriving in Akaroa where there’s the chance of a Nature Cruise on the Harbour. The next day on our way back to Christchurch, we explore the Southern side of Banks Peninsula. Oh-la-la!

Exploring in the Jungle - almost

Lewis Pass

The Northern most of the three main alpine roads passes across the Southern Alps, the Lewis Pass is almost a world apart with forest right down to the edges of the road in places, and isolated cabins sprinkled along the way. Not to mention the sublime Maruia Springs. We take our sweet time with multiple stops to enable exploration, before enjoying a soak at the Maruia Springs Thermal Hot Pools.
