Expedition Style in Fiordland

Fiordland Fantasy

Admire, photograph, and enjoy not just one fiord, but two, in one expedition. From Christchurch we head for Queenstown via Aoraki Mt Cook, and then into Milford Sound and Te Anau before exploring Doubtful Sound / Patea. Both fiords include a cruise and where possible we overnight on both as well. There is the chance of a mountain helicopter flight to tempt your taste buds too

Explore the West Coast Like Never Before

Wild West Coast

Spend the better part of a week on the West Coast with us as we slowly make our way from North to South while enjoying all the ‘Coast has to offer. From caves in Karamea, the Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki, and the Hokitika Gorge, to the West Coast Glaciers, and azure lakes further south, before returning to Christchurch via the Haast Pass and the Otago town of Wanaka

Exploring the Upper Reaches of the South Island

Top of the South

Join us as we work our way up the Kaikoura Coast to Picton and through the edges of the Marlborough Sounds to Nelson and Takaka beyond. We then dip down to St Arnaud before slipping through the Lewis Pass to Hanmer Springs for a soak in the hot pools. Finish up by visiting some of the Waipara Vineyards on the last leg of the tour back to Christchurch

Discover Azure Lakes and Historic Goldfields

Through the Middle

From Christchurch, we head for Aoraki Mt Cook and Omarama before hopping over the Lindis Pass to Tarras and Wanaka beyond. We attempt the Crown Range road into Queenstown then over the next few days work our way through Alexandra and the historic Gold Mining settlements of Ophir and St Bathans before exiting Otago via Oamaru and Timaru with a final look at the Waitaki Valley before heading for Christchurch

Where Coastal Lowlands and Fiords Combine

Deep South

A longish one this time, but worth it! From Christchurch we head inland to Queenstown before dipping further South to Te Anau and into Milford Sound for that obligatory nature cruise on the Fiord. From Te Anau we work our way into Invercargill and then the Catlins Coast in the South-East corner of the island before turning North for Dunedin and eventually our starting point in Christchurch

Discover as much of the South Island as possible - in a week!

South Island Big Loop

Our longest tour where we attempt to cram as many of the South Island’s sights in as possible without overdoing it. We work our way up the Kaikoura Coast before cutting across towards Nelson and Westport before tracking down the West Coast to Haast and Wanaka to Milford Sound and Te Anau. From there we basically follow the coast as closely as possible all the way back to Christchurch
